ประวัติความเป็นมา

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences had formerly been known as the Faculty of Humanistic Studies and Social Sciences under the jurisdiction of the College of Education since 1969. Later, the status of the College of Education was raised in 1974 as a university known as Srinakharinwirot University and the Faculty was divided into two faculties - Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Social Sciences.

Srinakharinwirot University, southern campus, separated itself from the main campus and was upgraded to be Thaksin University on November 1, 1996. The Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Social Sciences were merged as the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
